Tiffany & Co Unveiling

Last night we attended the unveiling of Tiffany & Co's Great Gatsby collection.

The collection was very elegant, decadent with diamonds and pearls.

In addition to viewing the collection, they invited us for the preview of the Great Gatsby movie which

I highly recommend to you all!!

The costumes were designed by Prada and Catherine Martin who were approached after several Prada and Miu Miu pieces were inadvertently worn during test scenes - and they were found to work really well. The pair then worked together on pieces that evoked the Twenties - without getting too weighed down in "historical pedantry", as Martin puts it.

The designer adapted 40 dresses from the Prada and Miu Miu archives for the Baz Lurhmann film, including the party dress worn by Carey Mulligan.

 Amazing movie, cool music, great fashion, stunning jewels - sounds brilliant to me!

Once upon a Time...

Keira Knightly stars as Coco Chanel in Karl Largerfeld's period film to mark the French Fashion's house 100th anniversary!

It was filmed in the chic seaside town of Deauville, where the first Chanel boutique opened in 1913, financed by her lover Captain Arthur "Boy" Capel, a wealthy British aristocrat.

Cast also included  Clotilde Hesme, Lindsey Wixson, Stella Tennant, Tallulah Harlech and Amanda Harlech.

Like Totally, Flash back to the 80's

Last night Marc By Marc Jacobs held an 80's themed retro event at their store in Mall of the Emirates.

Artist, Mona Fares worked on her live painting with fun neon colors while the guests listened to some cool retro music, mingling and enjoying some tasty treats.

Spotted in the crowd of Dubai's fashionistas was the beautiful Gabriela Miloda wearing a Funktional dress and Maria Francesca Pepe ring both from Bullets and Butterflies!
